On Thursday 19 December I lectured at the Fachhochschule Zürich in German on Geopolitik und Menschenrechte(geopolitics and human rights).  This gave me the opportunity to elaborate on the work of the Human Rights Council, and its Special Procedures, urgent action, Universal Periodic Review, democracy deficits and the advantages of the Swiss system of direct democracy, power of initiative and referenda.  I distributed copies of my GA report and other UN documents to some 200 students, who also had the electronic link.  Many of them had already “googled” me.  The students asked intelligent, targeted questions — especially on the human right to peace and the initiative for a World Parliament.
